I have provided few tips to protect yourself from Internet scams.
Research and Google it!
Search the name of the company and website on Google. You can find several blogs or forums throughout the web about the activities of these companies whether they are a good payer or a scam. Read some feedback from the persons who have experienced working with those companies or websites.
Join Online Communities
Join some forums. Before joining or signing up websites that claim to be able to earn thousands of dollars, ask for advice from other participants in the forums.
Avoid Programs That Promises Fast and Easy Money Overnight
While there are several companies who are legitimate and actually pay, keep in mind that it is not always what they promise to say as "easy". If you really want to earn, then you have to be determined to work for it.
To Whom Did You Hear About it?
If it come from a good source, the chances are, well it is legitimate company or website. But if it comes from your spam folder in your E-mail, then you have to be cautious about it. It might be a good opportunity though, so you have to research more about it.
Not All Companies Alleged as SCAM are actually SCAM.
This is one thing we have learned when working online. If you really want to know about the legitimacy of a company, search for some positive reviews and negatives as well. And the best course on what to do is learn the right thing from the positive reviews and learned what not to do from the negative reviews.
