I have listed some ways on what you should do in order to stay safe. Related information can be found in Hints And Tips.

  • Research. The easiest way to research a site is through Google. Input the sites name and see what the result is. If there is nothing wrong about the site, try to put the word "scam" after the sites name. Example: "SVBux Scam". There you will see sites or blogs that have discussed about the legitimacy of a certain site.
  • Check and test the site's links. Make sure that the site's links are working such as the "Contact Us" page link. If one of their links are not functional, that may sounds like trouble. So make sure the site is operational.
  • Read the Terms of Service. You should have an idea what you are getting in to.
  • Check their ads. Pay attention to the ads that are being shown. Are they real? Also check it if there is any typographical error.
  • Make sure the site has a forum. All legitimate sites should have a forum. Do not post personal information in forums such as emails, or other sensitive information.
  • Do not give personal information. Use fake personal info such as your name, Paypal or Alertpay account.
  • Make strong passwords. Make sure you have created strong password and do not use same password on any other sites and with your Paypal and Alertpay account.
  • Protect your money. Do not invest on something that you cannot afford. Stay away from quick money schemes.
  • Make sure that there is a way to contact the site's administrator.
